Kuwait is interested to purchase the Russian-made T-90MS main battle tank according ROSTEC (Russian State Company for arms export) Director General Sergei Chemezov. The T-90MS is the latest generation of main battle tank in the T-90 family.

During an interview with the Russia 24 television channel on March 20, 2017, Sergei Chemezov has announced that Kuwait has showed many interest for the new generation of Russian main battle tanks T-90MS. Russia is in talks with Kuwait to export the the T-90MS in the country.
The Russian State Corporation ROSTEC anticipates the signature of several contracts for T-90 main battle tanks soon, added Sergei Chemezov. It was reported earlier that the T-90MS tank had passed trials in Kuwait successfully. The T-90MS is a modernized version of the t-90 featuring many improvements as new RELIKT reactive armour, automated single control system, an automatic targets tracking system, and satellite navigation via GLONASS/GPS. To improve the tank’s offensive capabilities, the T-90MS is equipped with the Kalina fire control system which incorporates gunner's multichannel sight, commander's panoramic sight, digital ballistic computer, with a set of weather and fire condition sensors, and parallel sight is the backbone of the tank fire power. The main armament of the T-90MS consists of one 125mm high-accuracy gun 2A46M-5 which has a firing range from 100 to 3,000 with APDS/HEAT ammunition and 4,000 m with HE ammunition. The T-90MS is also equipped with a laser-beam guided weapon system which can fire anti-tank guided missile via the main gun against moving and fixed targets from a range of 100 to 5,000 m. Second armament includes a remote weapon system is mounted on the right side on the top of the turret which is armed with a 7.62mm machine gun. |
