Penman unveils a range of new multirole vehicles at DSEI 2017.
Penman is a Scotland-based company founded in 1859, the company is active in a range of disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic and Software Design and Development, Project Management and Integrated Logistic Support. At DSEI 2017, Penman introduces three new vehicles: The Metras MRV (Multi Role Vehicle) in 4x4 and 6x6 configuration and the LSA4 Air Assault Vehicle.
The LSA4 Air Assault Vehicle (Credit Army Recognition)
The LSA4 Air Assault Vehicle is a dynamic, powerful, and highly capable off-road light strike vehicle. Field cnfigurable for varius combat and support roles including Special Operations, Command & Control, logistics. With external dimensions of 5,100 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,800 mm and its weight of 2,550 kg, The LSA4 is fully air-transportable (both under slung or within Chinook CH-47).
The Vehicle has been tested and is operational under extreme climatic conditions. The vehicle has excellent mobility performances, propelled by a 3.2 l, 5 cylinders Ford engine, developping 260 hp it can reach the speed of 140 km/h. The Payload capacity is 3,450 kg.

The Metravs MRV has been designed as a platform allowing modularity of options to suit the different missions' requirements. The Metras MRV is the only vehicle in its class specifically designed with an integrated blast mitigation system, the vehicle has a V-shaped hull as the primary strike face, supported by a unique non-parasitic platform.
Crew and seating layouts can be varied from two to eight occupants, to suit operational requirements. Space is also allocated for weapons fit, communications suites, situational awareness (SA) systems, and other electronic devices.
Additional optional features can include fully integrated health and usage monitoring systems (HUMS) and the capability to support exportable power requirements.
The Metras MRV range of variants is delivered by modular chassis and body configurations. Metras MRV variants can be delivered in both 4x4 and 6x6 chassis, creating a common vehicle family including Command and Control, Command and Liaison, Logistics, Troop Carriers, Battlefield ambulances or Light recovery vehicles.
