Russia and China MoD to increase their relations.
The Russian Defense Ministry plans to develop relations with Chinese counterparts on all guidelines, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China Colonel-General Zhang Youxia. Shoigu noted that all-round development of strategic interaction with China is a priority of the Russian foreign policy. He recalled that last year the 15th anniversary of the Treaty on good neighborly relations, friendship and cooperation was solemnly celebrated.

"An important role in bilateral relations is played by relations of trust between the leaders of Russia and China. President Vladimir Putin was the main guest at the One Belt One Road forum held in Beijing in May. In July Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Russia. In November meaningful talks of both leaders were held on the sidelines of APEC summit in Danang," Shoigu said.
Russia is paying much attention to the implementation of top-level agreements. "We want to develop relations between our military departments on all guidelines. I am convinced that this meeting will facilitate it," he stressed.
A delegation of the Chinese armed forces headed by Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission Colonel-General Zhang Youxia visited the Taman motorized rifle division of the Western Military District deployed in Moscow region in the framework of the international military cooperation, the Russian Defense Ministry said. "The Chinese delegation met the command of military units, saw their training base and got acquainted with combat training practice," it said.
A tank platoon demonstrated a ride by the route of the international Tank Biathlon contest to the foreign guests. Youxia also praised good Russian-Chinese cooperation and expressed hope for good personal and friendly relations in future.
