Russian defense industry promotes Gorets-M 4x4 armoured at FAMEX 2017 exhibition in Mexico. | |||
Russian State arms export Company Rosoboronexport to promote Gorets-M 4x4 armoured vehicle at the FAMEX 2017 international aerospace exhibition in Mexico that began on April 26, 2017. More than 9% of Russia’s arms export falls on Latin American countries, the press office of Russia’s arms exporter Rosoboronexport said.

There is large presence of the Russian defense industry under the umbrella of Rosoborionexport, the Russian State Arms Export Company at at the FAMEX 2017 international aerospace exhibition which takes place at airbase No. 1 in Santa Lucia in Mexico from the 26 to 29 April.
At the same time, Rosoboronexport expects representatives of the armed forces and special agencies to demonstrate interest in the BTR-80A / BTR-82A 8x8 armored personnel carrier, the Tigr-M multipurpose vehicle, small arms, grenade launchers and the Ural vehicle that will be on display at the FAMEX 2017 exhibition. At FAMEX 2017,the Russian-made Gorets-M armored vehicle is presented in configuration to transport special units. More than two months ago, Mexico received the vehicle and tested it. The vehicle showed good performance during the trials. The Gorets-M is 4x4 armoured vehicle based on a KAMAZ-43502 4×4 military truck chassis. First Goret-M vehicle was delivered to the Police of Mexico in October 2016. The vehicle is developed by the Russian Company OKB Tehnika designed to be used as armoured personnel carrier or law enforcement vehicle. It offers ballistic protection Level 1 STANAG 4569, against firing of small arms 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm calibers. |
