The vehicle is designed to repair and evacuate military hardware, including on the battlefield, the press office added. The vehicle features an articulated crane with a lifting capacity of 2.83 tons and a power generator to carry out wielding works.
"The REM-KL recovery vehicle based on the wheeled Ural-532362 chassis has a cab-over-engine design. It has an 8x8 chassis, which allows operating it on all types of roads in the Far East," the press office said. "The REM-KL can conduct spec lift recovery or tow wheeled vehicles at a maximum speed of 30 km/h [19 mph] on unpaved roads and at a speed of 50 km/h [31 mph] on paved roads," the press office added. Compared to its predecessors, the REM-KL recovery vehicle has a high cross-country capability and higher-power standardized equipment to repair and evacuate broken vehicles in harsh field conditions. |
