Tuesday, March 28 , 207, opening of SOFINS 2017, the Special Operations Forces Innovation Network Seminar which takes place in the French Military Camp of Souge near Bordeaux, France. During three days local and international defense and security companies presents latest innovations and technologies especially dedicated for Military Special Forces and police SWAT teams.

Led by the French by the French Special Forces Command and under the sponsorship of the French Ministry of Defence , the SOFINS offers an unique opportunity to all exhibitors to develop new relationship and response to the new needs of the Special Operations Forces.
The SOFINS is organized by the Cercle de l'Arbalete's to reinforce and expand the ties between the French Special Forces units and innovative defense and security companies. The Cercle de l'Arbalete's is a French Professional trade association that join companies developing products for Special Operations Forces including research and development center and manufacturers. Today, special Forces units are involved in many combat and intelligence operations in all parts of the world. To response to these wide range of new missions , the Special Forces units are particularly sensitive to the development of their capabilities and anticipate the acquisition of new equipment that can offer more capacities especially in the fields of intelligence, communication and protection. Members of Special forces are deployed far from their rear operational and logistical bases, they must be able to meet the challenges of swift projections over long distances, at any times, in land, air, sea conditions. At SOFINS 2017, more than 250 companies exhibit a full range of military equipment and perform live demonstration showcasing new innovative solutions and technologies of small weapons, combat vehicles, night vision, communication equipment, optics and more. |
