At IDET 2017, the International Defence and Security Technologies Fair in Czech Republic ,the Czech Company Talosa unveils its new 4x4 light tactical armoured vehicle. The Company is manufacturer of propulsion parts for off-road and special racing TATRA trucks.

The Talosa 4x4 light tactical armoured vehicle is fully designed and manufactured in Czech Republic including all the internal components of the vehicle. It integrates a monocoque steel armoured hull offering ballistic protection for the crew against firing of small arms up to 7.62mm caliber.
The Talosa 4x4 armoured layout is conventional with the engine in the front, crew cab in the centre, and troop compartment at the rear. The vehicle is able to carried a total of 4 military pesonnel with a large cargo area at the rear. The Talosa armoured design incorporates Armox 500T which is the world's toughest protection plate, having nominal 500HBW hardness, for use in vehicles, buildings and many more applications. The modular design of the Talosa armoured allows the integration of modules to configure the vehicle for different types of missions. It can be easily configured as APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), ambulance, cargo vehicle or Special Forces with open top architecture. The Talosa 4x4 light armoured tactical vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km with a maximum cruising range of 490 km at 75 km/h. It has a gross weight of 9,200 kg with a payload of 1,800 kg maximum, a length of 5.00 m, width of 2.22 m and a height of 2.03 m. |
