ASELSAN’s airborne electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting pods, KUZGUN and CATS, serve as your eyes in the sky with high performance fixed-wing and rotary-wing airborne platforms including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

KUZGUN and CATS use the high-end technologies and employ different sensors in one compact design. These state-of-the-art solutions fulfill all the requirements of pilotage/navigation, surveillance, search-and-rescue, automatic tracking, surface target classification and targeting.

KUZGUN offers a cost effective, light weight (22 kg) and compact solution with 2-axis stabilization as well as electronic stabilization. To achieve clean images from the target zone, it uses a thermal imaging sensor for day and night observation in addition to a daylight TV camera with continuous zoom and gyro stabilization. It has also a new generation and highly efficient diode pumped laser source which is capable of designating targets for guidance of semi-active laser guided munitions. It can measure and provide accurate range information up to 15 km with an eye-safe Laser Range Finder.

CATS is a cutting-edge technology common aperture targeting system on a 4-axis stabilized gimbal with superior range and image performance. It is composed of infrared (thermal) camera, day visual camera, low light near-infrared (LL-NIR) camera, laser range finder and designator unit, laser pointer and illuminator unit (LPI). Additionally, it provides critical capabilities such as multi target tracking, simultaneous target tracking on IR, HDTV and LL-NIR videos, accurate target geo-location, determination of direction and speed of moving targets.

As CATS and KUZGUN deliveries to the end users are ongoing, there is a sustainable and growing demand for both of these.
