| 2023

French manufacturer Arquus offers versatile and modular vehicles in its Defense and Security ranges capable of responding or adapting to all missions. Among the emblematic vehicles of this range, the Sherpa APC in its Police configuration is on display at the Milipol exhibition from November 14 to 17, 2023. Considered a benchmark in the armored 4x4 segment for many years, the Sherpa family has proven itself in all the fields and within numerous armies, whether in France, as part of NATO missions, in the Middle East, in Asia or even in Latin America.

The Arquus Sherpa has already proven itself in various contexts, particularly where maintaining law and order and security are a national priority. In the configuration presented at Milipol 2023, the Sherpa APC Police benefits from a carrying capacity of up to 10 people, increased protection and high mobility performance. This Sherpa APC was notably deployed within the police units of the BRI (Research and Intervention Brigade) during the riots that affected France in recent months.

In a different configuration, the Sherpa "Echelle d'Assaut" (Assault Ladder) is equipped with a ladder that can reach up to 8.50 m using its autonomous ramp. For example, this vehicle was used by the GIGN (National Gendarmerie Intervention Group) during the attacks in January 2015. During the last act of the hunt begun after the attack committed at the Charlie Hebdo headquarters a few days earlier, this vehicle made it possible to dislodge the Kouachi brothers from the printing house in Dammartin-en Goël after several hours of confrontation. Thanks to this ladder, the Sherpa allows you to board an Airbus A380 in the event of a hostage-taking; it is a ladder equipped with a state-of-the-art protection device allowing intervention personnel to be as safe as possible.
