According to the manufacturer, the MRADELR is designed as a high-quality, military-tested, readily available rifle capable of extreme long-range precision. It features interchangeable barrels and calibers that can be changed by the user, offering versatility and adaptability for various shooting contexts. Initially chambered in 416 Barrett, Barrett plans to introduce more significant caliber options in the future. The rifle boasts its innovative technology, precision engineering, and exceptional materials, demonstrating Barrett's commitment to excellence in the firearms industry.

One of the distinctive aspects of the MRADELR is its performance in competitive shooting. It has been extensively tested in scenarios such as the King of 2 Miles competition, achieving 2nd place. The King of 2 Miles (Ko2M) is a long-range shooting competition at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico. This competition brings together elite shooters from across the country to push the limits of what is possible with small arms by engaging targets up to a distance of 2 miles (3.22 km). Shooters face challenges like cold bore shots, first-round hits, and engaging targets at extreme distances. Unlike regular shooting practices, shooters have only a few shots to hit a target, without the possibility of adjusting their shots with unlimited sighters. The competition is primarily a three-person team event, with one shooter, one spotter for impacts and corrections, and a third member to monitor changes in the wind. The competition rules award more points for earlier hits and longer distances.

The "Ballistic Best Editor's Select" award is given annually by Ballistic Magazine. In their "Ballistic’s Best" issue, a team of experts evaluates and tests various firearm-related product categories, including handguns, rifles, ammunition, optics, and accessories. The magazine editors select their favorite products in each category for the "Editors' Selects." Categories include handguns, rifles, ammunition, AR triggers, pistol red dots, thermal scopes, and others. This award is a recognition of excellence and innovation in the field of firearms and related equipment.

Technically, the MRADELR is a bolt-action repeater with a 36-inch (91.5 cm) barrel and a 1:9 twist rate. Its total length is 62 inches (157.5 cm), and it weighs 23 pounds (10.4 kg), with a magazine capacity of five rounds. The rail length is 24.63 inches (62.6 cm) with a 10-mil MOA, aligned with the needs of very long-range shooting.

With this new product, Barrett invites media, industry professionals, and shooting enthusiasts to explore the specifications and capabilities of the MRADELR, especially at events like the 2024 SHOT Show in Las Vegas where it will be featured.
