With its light and powerful structure, the AJBAN LRSOV is capable of accessing all terrains and is helicopter underslung transportable. Its open cab allows for the installation of various weapons and mission systems, making it a leader in its category.

Built on NIMR's multi-purpose platform, the vehicle accommodates four crew members with an optional fifth seat, offering all-around situational awareness and self-defense features. The LRSOV can be fitted with ballistic and blast protection, and comes equipped with multiple weapon mounts for high-calibre machine guns, automatic grenade launchers, and small rifles.

The generic architecture of the vehicle permits the addition of user-supplied communication equipment. The LRSOV has a high power-to-weight ratio, stiff chassis, and advanced independent suspension, providing excellent mobility. The universal 4x4 chassis of NIMR vehicles reduces the logistical burden of training, maintenance, and spare parts management.

Measuring 5.7 m in length, 2.3 m in width, and 2.35 m in operational height, the LRSOV has a 3.3 m wheelbase and high ground clearance, ensuring easy maneuverability across various terrains. The vehicle can operate in extreme weather conditions, with temperatures ranging from -19ºC to +49ºC.

With a gross weight of 9,000 kg and a base weight of 6,500 kg, the AJBAN LRSOV can carry a maximum payload of 2,500 kg. The vehicle is powered by a 296hp (221kW) diesel engine at 2,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission system that generates approximately 1,100 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm.

Enhancing the vehicle's mobility are features such as the onboard central tire inflation system (CTIS), run-flat inserts (RFI), double wishbone suspension system, and dual-circuit air-over-hydraulic brake system.
