Andreas Mitsis, President of EODH, for his part explicitly thanked for the trust in his company and pointed out that the industrial cooperation with KMW is the starting point and the prerequisite for a reliable supply chain of the protective components from the beginning to the finished vehicle – also and especially over a long delivery period.
As part of the existing cooperation between the two companies, both look forward to the timely implementation of the protection concept presented by EODH at DEFEA 2023 on a Leopard 2A4 of the Hellenic Army, the ASPIS Modular NG - MBT. The aim formulated by both sides is to establish the modular protection concept in future upgrade programs or new development stages such as the Leopard 2A8.
With the continued development of the protection by EODH - also taking into account the current experiences of MBT in action and the "comeback" of the heavy main battle tank (the assumptions and developments of the last few years have mostly gone in other directions and systems) - offers ASPIS Modular NG - MBT which consists of a combination of passive/reactive and active components and present as an unimagined possibility of increasing the combat value of the active and stored tanks in a matter of time and cost!
Protecting lives, survivability of platforms and confronting successfully the new battle threats with tailor-made and ready-to-install technologies & systems is already a proven capability of EODH expertise and the result of trust and excellent collaboration with KMW.
