DroneShield launches DroneSentry-X Mk2 versatile solution for Counter-UAS missions.

| 2023

DroneShield on October 9 announced the launch of its DroneSentry-X Mk2, also known as the "DroneSentry-X". This innovative solution caters to both mobile and expeditionary fixed-site applications in the realm of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Counter-UAS). The DroneSentry-X is designed to provide passive detection, identification, and tracking capabilities for a wide range of unmanned or uncrewed systems across multiple domains.

The DroneSentry-X leverages DroneShield's cutting-edge multi-mission artificial intelligence and machine learning technology, known as RFAI, for passive and non-intrusive detection. Additionally, it introduces the new electronic countermeasure (ECM) technology, RFAI-ATK (RFAI "Attack"), which empowers operators to detect, identify, track, and ultimately defeat UxS (Unmanned Systems) – all within a single, self-contained, and user-friendly system. Notably, the DroneSentry-X Mk2 is the first platform in the Counter-UAS industry to offer RFAI-ATK capabilities.

The development of the DroneSentry-X has been driven by extensive research and development efforts, incorporating valuable feedback from end-users. This feedback has informed critical aspects of the system, including its primary features, performance requirements, user interface, and interoperability considerations. With interoperability in mind, the DroneSentry-X features an integrated RFAI user interface, enhancing local and tactical situational awareness. Moreover, it adheres to the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) best practices, enabling seamless integration with existing system-of-systems architectures and third-party sensors, effectors, and command and control (C2) platforms.

The DroneSentry-X Mk2 will be displayed at the Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exposition (AUSA 2023) in Washington, DC, this week. Initial deliveries for pre-received orders will commence later this month.
