Angus Bean, DroneShield Chief technology Officer, commented: “DroneGun is an iconic DroneShield brand of products, from the original first-generation unit released in late 2016, to this latest offering. The product line has a deep heritage globally including US DoD and all main western militaries, intelligence community globally and law enforcement customers. This product features break-through technologies such as advanced waveforms to offer unparalleled performance for its size and weight.”
DroneShield DroneGun Mk4 provides effective countermeasure against unauthorized or malicious drone activity, providing a safe and controlled way to disable drones from up to 1.5 km away. It operates by jamming the radio frequency signals used by drones to communicate with their controllers, disrupting their ability to receive instructions and fly. This renders the drone inoperable and forces it to land or return to its starting point.
The DroneGun Mk4 is lightweight and easy to operate, making it an ideal solution for security personnel, law enforcement, and military personnel who need to quickly disable drones in sensitive areas such as airports, military bases, and public events. It has a battery life of up to 2 hours and can be recharged via USB or an external power source.
In addition to its jamming capabilities, the DroneGun Mk4 also features a range finder, laser pointer, and video recording capabilities, allowing operators to accurately target and track drones while recording evidence of their activities. The device is designed to be safe and effective, with no risk of collateral damage or interference with other electronic devices.
DroneGun Mk4 has not been authorised as required by the U.S. federal communications commission (FCC). Hence, this device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, in the United States, other than to the United States government and its agencies, until such authorisation is obtained. The use of DroneGun Mk4 in the United States by other persons or entities, including state or local government agencies, is prohibited by federal law. Laws limiting the availability of DroneGun Mk4 to certain types of users may apply in other jurisdictions, and any sales will be conducted only in compliance with the applicable laws.
