Part of the Sener technology and engineering group, Sener Aerospace and Defence, employs over 2,700 professionals, with more than 900 specializing in aerospace and defense. The company has carved a unique niche as a trusted supplier of high-performance systems and products with a pronounced industry focus.

Sener's core competencies span various aerospace and defense sectors. The company has a robust reputation for its design, development, and integration of multiple aerospace systems and components, including satellite systems, launchers, propulsion systems, avionics, and space exploration missions. In the defense sector, their proficiency extends to providing engineering services for land, sea, and air defense systems, including command and control systems, surveillance and reconnaissance, combat systems, and simulation and training.

At the FEINDEF Exhibition, set to take place on May 17, 18 and 19, Sener Aerospace and Defence will showcase NAVIGROUND, a state-of-the-art solution designed to coordinate and connect vehicles using an accurate navigation system. This innovation integrates data from various sensors and processes it in real time, leveraging advanced data management techniques, information merging, and artificial intelligence algorithms to deliver more reliable information than each sensor could independently.

The NAVIGROUND system is a flexible, scalable solution that can function in both structured and unstructured environments, including areas with no or jammed GNSS/GPS signals. To ensure its effectiveness in challenging conditions, Sener applied knowledge from its extensive experience developing navigation systems for space programs like the GNC/AOCS systems on the Herschel and Planck science satellites and the IXV and Space Rider space vehicles. The company also drew insights from its work in robotics, such as the development of laparoscopic surgery robots, the Dextrous Arm robotic arm for the International Space Station, mirror-cleaning robots for solar plants, and autonomous vehicles for the European Defence Agency.

At FEINDEF 2023, Spanish company Sener Aeroespacial displays the NATO Pod, a joint development between GA-ASI and Sener. The NATO Pod is built by Sener Aeroespacial in Europe to meet NATO airworthiness standards while increasing configuration and payload options for MQ-9A and MQ-9B Remotely Piloted Aircraft produced by GA-ASI. The new product is designed for international customers that are interested in rapidly integrating sovereign payload capabilities to achieve specific mission objectives.
