The FN Smart ProtectoR-303T is primarily aimed at law enforcement and public security operations where lethal force is not warranted. This includes crowd control, public disturbances, riots, daily patrols, and security at major events. The system is based on the proven FN 303 launcher, a long-standing tool in the arsenal of law enforcement and military units worldwide.
The FN Smart ProtectoR-303T retains all the qualities of the tactical FN 303 launcher, with a significant additional safety feature. It incorporates an electro-optical solution with an onboard camera and image-processing software that detects human heads in real-time. If a projectile is at risk of hitting a head, the system alerts the user and temporarily blocks firing, significantly reducing the risk of serious and potentially irreversible injuries.
The FN VictoR-SP camera can record footage during use, providing valuable data for post-action analysis or judicial inquiries. With a battery life ranging from 5 to 12 hours and an automatic standby mode to conserve energy, the FN Smart ProtectoR-303T is equipped for extended operations. An external battery pack can be added for prolonged use.
The FN Smart ProtectoR-303T also serves as a training system for shooting fundamentals through a dedicated application. The app interface displays the impact point and barrel movement before and after each shot, highlighting areas for user improvement. Video recordings can be used to replay pre-recorded scenarios on a screen.
