IDEF 2023: FNSS from Turkey to showcase its full range of wheeled and tracked armored vehicles.
FNSS announces its participation in the 16th edition of the International Defense Industry Fair, IDEF'23, to be held at the Istanbul TÜYAP Fair and Congress Centre from July 25th to 28th. This year marks IDEF's 30th anniversary, and it will host official delegations from nearly 25 countries. FNSS will welcome visitors at Hall 3, Stand 311-C.

Among the highlights will be the SHADOW RIDER, equipped with the formidable SANCAK Remote Controlled Weapon Station (RWS) armed with a powerful 12.7mm cannon, offering enhanced capabilities and versatility on the battlefield. KAPLAN MT:
The KAPLAN MT is the first serially manufactured tank-class system in Turkey to enter the inventory of an army. Developed in collaboration with PT Pindad within the Defense Industry Cooperation Agreement between Turkey and Indonesia, the KAPLAN MT is a modern platform equipped with advanced firepower capabilities and the latest technologies. It features a command control system and laser warning system, providing tactical awareness to the vehicle commander. The KAPLAN MT is also equipped with advanced ballistic and mine protection systems and integrated with the Pulat active protection system.

ZAHA CAKA RWS:
The Marine Assault Vehicle (MAV), exhibited with the CAKA RWS turret at IDEF, has recently been introduced into the inventory of the Turkish Navy as the first domestically manufactured armored combat vehicle. The MAV is capable of swift ship-to-shore, shore-to-ship, and shore-to-shore operations, allowing units to quickly disembark under protection and fire support. FNSS designed the MAV to meet the needs of marine infantry, and it comes in four variants: Personnel Carrier, Command Vehicle, Recovery Vehicle, and Mine Breaching Vehicle.

PARS IV 6X6:
The PARS IV 6x6 Special Operations Vehicle, which will be showcased at the FNSS booth with the SANCAK RWS, is currently in use by the Turkish Army Special Forces Command. As the first 6x6 class armored vehicle to enter the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, the PARS IV 6x6 is designed to surpass its predecessors in terms of mission equipment, situational awareness, mobility, firepower, and protection against mines, IEDs, artillery splinters, and heavy machine gun projectiles. The vehicle is equipped with two independent SANCAK RWS systems developed by FNSS, capable of carrying various weapons depending on mission requirements.

PARS SCOUT 8X8:
The PARS SCOUT 8x8 Special Purpose Vehicle, to be exhibited for the first time at IDEF with a 25mm Remote-Controlled Turret, is specially designed for reconnaissance and internal security operations, offering high situational awareness to its users. The vehicle excels in high mobility in all terrain conditions, superior ballistic and mine protection, and integration of modern technologies. FNSS will deliver 6x6 and 8x8 vehicles in five different variants to the Turkish Land Forces and the Gendarmerie through the domestic development model. The PARS SCOUT features a two-person driver compartment at the front, protected by ballistic glass, providing a wide horizontal field of view, driving safety, situational awareness, and comfort. The vehicle is equipped with cameras for superior visibility under day and night conditions, meeting the protection level of mine-protected vehicles while maintaining the mobility of a modern armored combat vehicle. The modular connection of vehicle subsystems to its mine-resistant hull ensures ease of maintenance and quick replacement, making it superior to its predecessors.

M113 "SHADOW RIDER":
Finally, FNSS proudly presents the concept "SHADOW RIDER," based on the M113 platform, which evolved into a family of autonomous unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) designed for various missions, especially fire support. FNSS offers a viable and adaptable solution that provides autonomous capabilities to conventional land platforms through an integrated kit. SHADOW RIDER is considered Turkey's first and one of the key heavy UGVs globally, classified as TRL-6-7.
