Initially ordered in 2019, the TITUS is the result of international collaboration between Nexter Systems, a renowned French defense company, and major Czech industry players such as Tatra Defense Vehicle, ELDIS, and Tatra Trucks, which supplies the chassis. The TITUS 6x6 armored vehicle has been delivered to the Czech army in three distinct versions: command post (CP), transmissions, and artillery fire coordination post.

The MKPP variant, based on the TITUS 6x6 chassis platform, is designed to facilitate command and control for artillery units in various combat conditions, both stationary and on the move. It also enables automation within ground forces at the tactical level, offering seamless information exchange between forward observation groups and artillery units. Equipped with a Fire Control System (FCS), the vehicle ensures interoperability in multinational operations.

Highlighting its key features, the MKPP boasts high maneuverability, agility, and throughput. It provides sufficient ballistic protection for its crew and comes outfitted with a specialized infrastructure of communications and information systems.

Communication capabilities include AN/PRC-117G radio station situated in the commander's compartment and a pair of the same radios in Operator Area 1, an INMARSAT BGAN satellite terminal, and personal RF-78S0S radio stations.

The vehicle's Fire Control System features a dedicated control system computer from the Mildef CS2102 fire control system, a workstation/terminal, an intercom unit and loudspeaker, and a data link via fiber optic.

In terms of data infrastructure, the vehicle is fitted with external RED and BLACK Input/Output, a BLACK Ethernet switch on platform CISCO ESS3300, two RED and BLACK computing platforms MCP-28H with the ReSEF security data filter, one-way data equipment JDK communication, a multifunction driver terminal, a vehicle commander's workstation (BMS), and operator workstations (BMS).

The TITUS 6x6 MKPP's basic technical specifications include a 3-axle, 6x6 wheel configuration with two steered axles (1st and 3rd). It is designed for a crew of four plus a fire coordination officer. The vehicle's combat weight with crew is 27 tons and it can reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h on the road. Its ability to wade through water is rated at 1.2 meters. The MKPP is capable of a maximum static tilt angle of 25°, a climb angle of 33°, overcoming vertical obstacles of 0.6 m, and crossing transverse ditches up to 1.2 m wide.

The debut of the TITUS 6x6 MKPP at IDET 2023 represents a significant milestone for Nexter Systems and its Czech partners, marking a new era in their contribution to military technology and the global defense industry.
