IMCO Group to supply more electrical and electro-optical sub-systems for Israeli army's Eitan AFVs.
IMCO Group has recently secured a follow-up contract worth over $7 million (equivalent to approximately 28.5 million NIS) from the Directorate of Production and Procurement (DOPP) within the Israel Ministry of Defense. This contract, awarded in the third quarter of this year, solidifies IMCO Group's role in providing additional electrical and electro-optic sub-systems for the Israeli Defense Forces' cutting-edge Eitan (8X8) Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFVs).

The Eitan AFV, a versatile 8×8 wheeled armored personnel carrier (APC) developed under the auspices of Israel's Defense Ministry's Merkava and Armored Vehicles Directorate, represents a significant advancement in protected combat vehicles. Boasting exceptional mobility and firepower capabilities, the Eitan has already proven its mettle in active combat deployment by the IDF during ongoing conflicts.
IMCO Group's various subsidiaries, namely IMCO Projects, Nir-Or, ADTI, and EMT, have been entrusted with the responsibility of manufacturing the critical electrical and electro-optic sub-systems for this formidable platform. These sub-systems encompass a range of components, including electric power and control units, operational control panels, platform interconnection cabling, platform main computing cradle units, and state-of-the-art illumination solutions. Furthermore, Nir-Or is contributing various computer units and a Video Management System that furnishes the vehicle with a comprehensive suite for video management, complete with an intuitive control interface. Notably, this solution incorporates real-time AI analytics, empowering the commander, driver, and gunner with the information needed for intelligent and effective mission management, fostering a shared situational awareness.
Collectively, IMCO's sub-systems are pivotal in ensuring peak performance and survivability for the Eitan APV while enhancing the situational awareness of the crew operating it.
Ariel Kandel, CEO of IMCO Group, expressed the company's pride in being a trusted supplier to the Merkava and Armored Vehicles Directorate of Israel's Defense Ministry and its exclusive contribution to the Eitan APV's production.
