Iranian IRGC develops new Fath 360 missile training system.
As reported by Tasnim, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force successfully tested a homegrown system that trains crew members to fire the “Fath 360” missiles. The training system, designed and manufactured by the IRGC Ground Force’s experts, simulates all stages from loading and preparation to the launch of the Fath 360 missile for the officers.

The training system uses the airframe of a real Fath 360 missile, but its engine and warhead have been replaced by an “Arash” 122-mm rocket. The training system that allows the missile officer to practice reloading and firing projectiles several times has increased the safety factors and reduced the training costs.
Developed by the Iranian Defense Ministry, Fath-360, also known as BM-120, is a short-range, satellite-guided, solid-fuel tactical ballistic missile announced on the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Day, April 18, 2022. Fath-360 was first shown under the name of Fath in a military exhibition on August 21, 2020.
With 30 to 120 km (19 to 75 mi) of range, each missile can carry a 150kg (330 lb) warhead and flies at Mach 3 (1020 m/s). After launch, the missile connects to satellites for homing and hits its target with a speed of Mach 4 (1,361 m/s).
It is believed that Fath-360 is a shorter version of the Fateh family of SRBMs. As such, it is almost half the size of a Fateh-110 But has the same configuration of fins. Four at the end of it near the exhaust, four other triangular-shaped fins just above them and four small ones in front of the missile, near the nosecone.
Its lightweight and small dimensions allow several of these missiles to be put on a truck-based launcher. The missile is launched through a round launch container on a truck-based TEL. The Fath-360 launcher comes with two, three, four or six-round launch containers each carrying one missile. with these characteristics, it can act like a GMLRS.
