The versatility of the Cuguar is one of its most striking features. It is designed to serve various roles, from transporting soldiers across rugged terrains to the disposal of explosives. Its adaptability extends to being a basic means of artillery transport, a command and support vehicle, and even a rescue vehicle when the situation demands it.

For its armament, the vehicle can be equipped with a remotely operated turret, an asset added to the firing ports. The vehicle showcased at MSPO 2023 features an open turret.

When it comes to tackling challenging terrains and obstacles, it can effortlessly cross hard-bottomed water bodies up to a meter deep without requiring any special preparation. The vehicle is also capable of overcoming ditches, climbing slopes up to 30%, and scaling vertical obstacles. It also has the ability to climb at an incline of up to 60%. Under the hood, the Cougar is equipped with a Caterpillar C-7 Diesel I6 engine that boasts a power output of 330 horsepower. This allows the 19.5-ton vehicle to reach a maximum driving speed of 89 km/h with an operational range of 675 km.

The Cuguar offers a payload capacity of 2.3 tons. This allows for the transportation of essential equipment, troops, and other cargo without compromising on speed or maneuverability. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 6.35 meters in length, 2.72 meters in width, and 3.02 meters in height. Its ground clearance of 0.38 meters adds to its ability to navigate through challenging terrains with ease.

The current unit cost of the MRAP Cuguar averages $475,000. While this 4x4 vehicle is not a new entry, it is always interesting to see the exact specifications of the showcased vehicle. In this case, it is heavier than the base version, which naturally results in a reduction of its maximum speed and operational range.
