Viettel is a Vietnamese telecommunications group that is gradually expanding its scope of operations. The company has been involved in various technology-driven projects, including educational centers and network upgrades. Recently, Viettel has firmly established its brand in the defense sector, expanding global partnerships with companies like WB Electronics, a subsidiary of the WB Group.

The 3D S-Band radar is designed to provide critical target information for C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems. One of its most notable features is the integrated Parol IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) system, which is essential for avoiding friendly fire and ensuring that the right targets are engaged.

Moreover, the radar system supports air-force navigation functionalities and offers an open interface for flexible connection to various C4ISR systems. This makes it a versatile asset that can be easily integrated into existing defense infrastructures.

Operating in the S-Band frequency, the radar offers 360° azimuth coverage and a range of up to 360 km. It has a scanning rate of up to 12 revolutions per minute and can track more than 300 targets simultaneously. The system is also equipped with ECCM (Electronic Counter-Countermeasures) capabilities, specifically automatic jammer monitoring and frequency selection, making it resilient against electronic warfare tactics.

Mobility and Deployment
One of the features of the 3D S-Band radar is its mobility. The entire system is vehicle-mounted, allowing for rapid deployment and retrieval in less than 20 minutes. This makes it an ideal choice for forces requiring quick reaction times and operational flexibility.

As Viettel continues to make strides in the defense sector, the 3D S-Band radar stands as a testament to the company's commitment to providing solutions for today's security challenges. The challenge posed by drones in modern conflicts provides an excellent showcase for all systems capable of effectively and cost-efficiently combating, neutralizing, and detecting various UAVs.
