New Serbian Milosh 2 4x4 Armored Vehicle Set to Challenge Global Military Market.

In a significant advancement in armored vehicle technology, Serbian defense company Yugoimport has introduced the Milosh 2, a state-of-the-art 4x4 armored vehicle. This next-generation vehicle is able to rival other contemporary armored vehicles in its class.

The Milosh 2 is a refined version of its predecessor, the Milosh 1. Notably, it boasts a payload capacity of 2,500 kg, a substantial increase from the 1,200 kg of the Milosh 1. The vehicle's design allows for the integration of a heavy turret and can accommodate 10 military personnel, up from the previous capacity of 8. Furthermore, the Milosh 2 offers enhanced protection, meeting the Level 2 STANAG 4569 standards for ballistic protection and Level 2A/2B for mine protection.

This innovation positions the Serbian State Defense company to compete robustly in the European armored vehicle market, challenging established names like the German Dingo 2 and the Eagle from General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS), among other combat platforms currently available.

Designed as a multirole wheeled armored vehicle, the Milosh 2 is versatile, catering to a broad spectrum of missions for both police and military operations. Its design emphasizes a self-supporting hull, modern drive, transmission assemblies, and an independent suspension system. This ensures unparalleled mobility across diverse terrains and weather conditions, even with a combat weight surpassing 18 tons.

The Milosh 2's adaptability is evident in its potential configurations. It can serve in patrol and reconnaissance missions, function as a command vehicle, support special operations units, and engage in anti-guerrilla, anti-terrorism, and anti-tank operations. Its capabilities extend to border and territorial control missions as well.

Due to its new design, the Milosh 2 can be fitted with a Remotely Controlled Weapon Station that is armed with one 20mm automatic cannon, a 7.62mm machine gun, a 30mm automatic grenade launcher, six smoke-grenade dischargers, and two launchers for a modernized version of the anti-tank guided missiles Maljutka, Russian AT-3 Sagger.

Under the hood, the Milosh 2 is powered by a 4-stroke diesel engine, water-cooled, and enhanced with a turbocharger, intercooler, and an ECM unit. The engine boasts a displacement of 6.7 liters and can generate a power of 252 kW (338 HP) at 2800 rpm-1. With a maximum torque of 1100 Nm at 1400-1700 rpm-1, the vehicle can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h and has a range of 600 km, thanks to its 290-liter fuel tank.

With the introduction of the Milosh 2, Yugoimport has undoubtedly solidified its position in the global defense market, offering a vehicle that combines power, versatility, and advanced technology.
