Built on the formidable Ford F-550 Super Duty chassis, the Gurkha MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) is a 4x4 armored vehicle that combines mobility and high-level protection. Adhering to strict B7/STANAG 2 standards, these vehicles provide comprehensive defense against a range of threats including small arms fire, 7.62mm ammunition, explosives up to 6kg, and even shells. 155 mm high explosive artillery.

The heart of the Gurkha MPV is its powerful 6.7-liter V8 turbo diesel engine, developing 330 horsepower and an impressive 750 Nm of torque. This power is managed by a 6-speed automatic transmission, propelling the vehicle up to speeds of peak of 130 km/h. The MPV's 4x4 drivetrain, with its shift-on-the-fly capability, allows for seamless transition between two- and four-wheel drive modes, a crucial feature for navigating diverse and challenging terrain.

One of the notable features of these Gurkha MPVs is their self-sealing tires. Designed to maintain functionality even after sustaining damage, these tires significantly reduce the risk of downtime in combat zones, a key factor in ensuring the safety and success of rescue and evacuation missions.

Weighing approximately 7,484 kg, the weight of the Gurkha MPV may vary depending on specific armor configurations and optional equipment chosen. The vehicle's dimensions are equally impressive, measuring 6.4 meters in length, 2.5 meters in width, and 2.6 meters in height. To improve safety, especially during high-speed emergency responses, the vehicle is equipped with 4-wheel ventilated disc brakes and an anti-lock braking system (ABS).

As Durward Smith, President and CEO of Terradyne, and Oleg Klots, Head of the Logistics Department of the State Enterprise - Medical Supply of Ukraine, have already stated, these vehicles are expected to play a crucial role in the evacuation of the injured personnel from high altitudes. -risk areas. The combination of advanced protection, mobility and durability of the Gurkha MPVs makes them an invaluable asset in Ukraine's efforts to protect its soldiers and civilians.
