Our virtual tour of Day 3 includes highlights from international and Turkish defense manufacturers alike, beginning with the UAE’s EDGE Group, which has brought a comprehensive suite of its latest defense products. EDGE's expansive lineup underscores the UAE’s commitment to bolstering its defense sector, focusing on advanced systems across land, sea, air, and cyber defense domains.

Following EDGE’s showcase, we turn our attention to Türkiye’s Meteksan Defense, a prominent local company presenting diverse military technologies and systems designed to meet modern operational needs. Key exhibits include their Retinar AESA, a multi-mission radar system known for its versatility in surveillance and target acquisition. The AESA radar technology offers exceptional resolution and range, supporting diverse missions in complex operational environments.

Meteksan also presented its KAPAN counter-drone system, a robust solution addressing the global surge in unmanned aerial threats. With advanced detection and neutralization capabilities, KAPAN exemplifies Türkiye’s proactive approach to counter-UAS solutions, ensuring reliable defense against emerging aerial threats.

The ULAQ series, Türkiye's first operational unmanned surface vessels (USVs) by Meteksan, also took center stage. The ULAQ ASuW (Anti-Surface Warfare) variant is designed for tactical naval operations, equipped with anti-ship weaponry to provide a strategic edge in maritime conflict. Another version, the ULAQ KAMA, is an expandable unmanned surface vessel with modular design features adaptable for multi-mission configurations and networked combat operations.

Additionally, Meteksan showcased its new HELRAD (Helicopter Radar), a groundbreaking helicopter-mounted radar system engineered for all-weather, long-range target acquisition. This system enhances the situational awareness and effectiveness of rotary-wing platforms in combat zones. The MILSAR multi-mode airborne radar, also presented by Meteksan, is particularly noteworthy for its ability to perform in diverse operational environments, supporting both reconnaissance and targeting across air and ground domains.

Another exciting reveal from the SAHA Expo came from Turkish company Ahsen Savunma, which introduced the prototype of its all-terrain light tactical tracked vehicle, the M571. Engineered to tackle challenging terrains, the M571 is an ideal asset for reconnaissance and quick-response missions, boasting a lightweight, agile design paired with robust protective features.

Army Recognition’s comprehensive Day 3 report highlights how the Turkish defense industry, complemented by international players like EDGE, harnesses innovative technologies to redefine modern military capabilities across multiple theaters. As we continue to explore the exhibits and connect with industry leaders, stay tuned for more insights into the defense sector’s advancements unveiled at SAHA Expo 2024.
