IDET 2025 continues to serve as a key platform for the Czech defense and security industries to showcase the latest advancements in military technology. This year’s focus centers on the integration of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, electronic warfare resilience, and sustainable defense solutions. Czech President Petr Pavel emphasized the exhibition’s strategic relevance by highlighting the importance of strengthening cooperation across the European defense sector and responding effectively to modern security challenges.
In an exclusive interview with CZ Defence, Michalis Busios, Director of IDET, underlined the show’s dynamic evolution and its growing international appeal. He highlighted the launch of the Start-up Innovation Zone, where six emerging companies are presenting disruptive solutions in areas such as propulsion technology, additive manufacturing, and intelligent command systems. Busios pointed to the fair’s adaptability and innovation-driven focus as essential elements in meeting the expectations of the global defense market.
A standout moment of IDET 2025 is the world premiere of the Autonomous UAV System MTS, developed by LPP Holding. This next-generation drone system operates without reliance on GPS or communication links, using advanced AI-powered visual navigation for precision missions in environments dominated by electronic warfare. Field-tested in combat conditions in Ukraine, the MTS demonstrated exceptional resilience and operational autonomy, making it a game-changing asset for modern battlefield scenarios.
As IDET 2025 concludes, it leaves a clear message about the increasing role of technological innovation, interoperability, and international collaboration in today’s defense strategies. The exhibition reinforces Brno’s role as a strategic hub for defense dialogue and industry growth, setting new standards for future editions.
