The MH-60R also called Sea Hawk is a twin turboshaft engine, multi-mission United States Navy helicopter manufactured by the American company Sikorsky, now a subdivision of Lockheed Martin. The MH-60R Sea Hawk is an Anti-Submarine Warfare, Anti-Surface Warfare, Electromagnetic Warfare, Surveillance, Communications Relay, Search and Rescue, Naval Gunfire Support and logistics support.

The MH-60R is designed to combine the features of the SH-60B and SH-60F.[17] Its avionics includes dual controls and instead of the complex array of dials and gauges in Bravo and Foxtrot aircraft, 4 fully integrated 8" x 10" night vision goggle-compatible and sunlight-readable color multi-function displays, all part of glass cockpit produced by Owego Helo Systems division of Lockheed Martin.

The Lockheed Martin Common Cockpit™ enables MH-60R and MH-60S aircrews to perform diverse missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, combat search and rescue, vertical replenishment, and airborne mine countermeasures.

Citing Naval-Technology website, the cabin of the MH-60R can accommodate three or four flight crew and five passengers. The length of the cabin is 3.2m, while the height and width are 1.3m and 1.8m respectively. The cabin area and volume of the helicopter are 6m² and 8.5m³, respectively.

For anti-surface warfare missions, the MH-60R can be equipped with a range of weapons on the four weapons stations, including Lockheed Martin AGM-114 Hellfire anti-surface missiles. For anti-submarine warfare, it can carry up to three ATK mk50 or mk46 active/passive lightweight torpedoes. A pintle-mounted 7.62mm machine gun can be fitted for self-defence.

The MH-60R is powered by by two General Electric T700-GE-401C turboshaft engines rated at 1,425kW. The helicopter can reach a maximum speed of 267 km/h with a maximum range of 834 km. It weighs around 6,895 kg and has a maximum take-off weight of 10,659 kg.
