Russian Navy Karakurt-class corvette Odintsovo Project 22800 completes state and sea trials.
According to information published by the Russian Ministry of Defense on November 14, 2020, Karakurt-class corvette Russian designation Project 22800 "Odintsovo" armed with Pantsir-M air defense missile system has successfully completed state and sea trials announced the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.

The Russian Navy Karakurt-class corvette "Odintsovo" was launched in May 2020. She is the first surface ship equipped with a Pantsir-M anti-aircraft air defense missile system. The acceptance certificate was signed on November 14, 2020, confirming the completion of state and sea tests of the ship.
The Pantsir-M is a naval variant of the Pantsir-S1 to be used as naval close-in weapon system (CIWS). It is equipped with friend or foe identification system and armed with naval version of the Pantsir's 57E6 missiles and Hermes-K missiles. The second armament includes two six-barreled 30×165mm GSh-6-30K/AO-18KD rotary cannons that have a range of 5 km. Same as on Kashtan-M. Pantsir-M is fully automated and can engage up to four targets simultaneously at a range of up to 20 km and can operate as a battery of up to four modules. Pantsir-M can intercept sea skimming missiles flying as low as two meters above the surface.
The Karakurt-class corvette will be also armed with one 76.2 mm 59-caliber AK-176MA or a 100 mm A-190 automatic dual-purpose naval guns, eight UKSK VLS (Vertical Launching Systems) cells for Kalibr or Oniks anti-ship cruise missiles and two 14.5 mm MTPU machine guns.
The Karakurt-class corvette is designed by Almaz Design Bureau and manufactured by Pella Shipyard. The ship features stealth technology and is based on a modular design allowing the development of different types ships that can be configured to mission requirements.
The Karakurt-class corvette is powered by a combined diesel and gas system that includes three M-507D-1 diesel engines and three DGAS-315 diesel generators. The ship can reach a top speed of 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph) with a maximum cruising range of 2,500 nmi (4,600 km; 2,900 mi) and an endurance of 15 days.
The Karakurt-class corvette also carry Ortlan-10 drone with a range of 120 km. It is used as a scout and pointer. Drones make warships practically invisible, as they do not have to switch on radars and be detected by the adversary.
