Orka is a next-generation lightweight torpedo, developed entirely with national resources that can be launched from surface platforms and aerial vehicles against submarine targets. The new 324 mm torpedo travels at high speeds, and detects targets through its active/passive sonar head and internal guidance system.
The ORKA will be equipped with high precision guidance and navigation systems, advanced search and attack capabilities, providing high efficiency and accuracy on target, and resistance against jamming.
The torpedo will support different platforms, including helicopters and naval patrol aircraft initially, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in the future.
