According to the spokesperson, the unmanned underwater vehicle is more autonomous than its predecessor. “The system has a maximum range of no less than 150 km,” he said, adding that the area of operation for the Klavesin-2R was unlimited.
It can operate both in coastal areas and on the high seas. A digital photo camera is used for the survey. The data is transmitted to the operator and then reproduced and processed by him.
According to the information available on the stand, the Klavesin-2R has a submerged speed of up to 1.5 m/s, a length of 6.5 m, a diameter of 1 m, and a weight of 3,613 kg. The system has been designed with 3D modeling technology.
It can be controlled by the operator if it is necessary to perform some specific tasks, or if the tasks have been decided to change. It can be used, as stated, not only in the sea but also in the ocean and in the coastal zone. Communication with the operator is via a hydroacoustic channel.
Earlier, the CEO of the Rubin Central Design Bureau Igor Vilnit told TASS that the Klavesin-2R had been developed by order of the Defense Ministry.
The Army 2022 international military-technical forum took place on August 15-21 at the Patriot exhibition center outside Moscow. The Defense Ministry was the organizer of the forum.
