The DP-65, also recognized under the naval designation MTU VMF 98U, is a compact, remotely controlled anti-diversionary grenade launcher system. It is primarily designed to safeguard vital sea and coastal infrastructure including ships, marine platforms, and hydro-technical installations from attacks by combat divers and saboteurs.

This versatile unit can be deployed either directly on marine structures or on the coast. For target detection, the DP-65 is furnished with a 747 sonar station that can function omnidirectionally up to 400 meters. Utilizing the "ANAPA-ME" sonar station, the system provides automated detection, tracking, and target elimination.

A key component of the DP-65 is the RG-55M grenade, designed specifically for this launcher. This ammunition can accurately neutralize underwater threats at depths up to 40 meters and within a 16-meter radius.

The DP-65's technical specifics include a 55mm caliber, ten barrels, and dimensions of 1820mm height, 970mm width, and 780mm length. The setup weighs 132kg and has a firing range of 50-500 meters, expandable to 1000 meters under certain conditions. It features vertical aiming from -38 to +48 degrees and horizontal aiming from -168 to +168 degrees (when firing the RG-55-1 grenade).
