The DT-30 is a Russian-made all-terrain tracked carrier vehicle developed and desigend by the Russian Company Vityaz Machine-building. The vehicle was especially designed to carry to heavy loads in harsh climatic conditions and to cross difficult terrain such as swamps, sand and snow. The DT-30 Vityaz (Knight) tracked all-terrain transporters has been in production since 1982. The DT-30 also has a load capacity of 30 tonnes. The DT-30 is no longer in production.

Design and protection |
The DT-30 has a fully enclosed cabin at the front of the vehicle which can carried a total of 5 people with a cargo area at the rear. The front of the crew cabin is fitted with four small windows. One single door is available on each side. The vehicle can towed a single long cargo flatbed measuring 10.51 × 3.1 m or another cargo carrier vehicle.

Mobility |
The DT-30 is motorized with a V-46-5 multifuel liquid cooled diesel developing 710 hp coupled to a hydro-mechanic transmission with 4 forward and 1 reverse gear. Engine compartment is located behind the cab. The vehicle can run at a maximum speed of 36 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 500 km. The torsion bar suspension consists of six dual rubber-tyred road wheels with the drive sprocket at the front and the idler at the rear. The first version of the DT-30 was not amphibious.
