The SRV-F Mk3 is a free-swimming manned submersible designed for untethered rescue operations to depths exceeding 500m. Operated by a team of three crew members, it has a rescue chamber that can accommodate up to 50 submariners per dive.
Connection to distressed submarines is facilitated using a NATO ANEP MNEP 85 / 85.1 compliant mating skirt. This innovative design features a soft seal that allows for connection at angles up to 45 degrees, enhancing its flexibility during rescue missions.
A standout feature of the SRV-F Mk3 is its capability for aerial and mothership deployment, making it adept at rapid response during maritime emergencies across expansive operational regions.
When launched by air, the SRV-F Mk3 doesn't need to return to deck, optimizing the rescue process and ensuring an entire submarine crew can be evacuated in one mission.
In addition to the SRV-F Mk3, the accompanying mothership will be equipped with advanced systems like a Transfer Under Pressure mechanism and a dedicated Decompression Chamber.
This ensures immediate medical assistance for the rescued submariners. The design of this mothership is attributed to Houlder, an independent design entity, with the realization overseen by BTI Defence, SMP's Indonesian partner.
