The 2021 SEAFUTURE event saw a significant international presence and a large number of foreign delegations in attendance. The 7th edition boasted 12,500 square meters of exhibition space at the Naval Base of La Spezia, 2600 B2B meetings, 65 foreign delegations, 235 player presentations, 15,000 participants, and 100 accredited media.
The 2023 edition is projected to see a substantial increase in both company and delegation attendance, with around 20,000 square meters of space and participants from all over the world.
The theme of the upcoming SEAFUTURE event aligns with the international agenda, which highlights critical topics such as maritime security and the free, shared, and sustainable use of the maritime environment, from the surface to the seabed.
Other topics that will be discussed at the event include emerging research fields like cyber security, unmanned and underwater technologies, and logistics and infrastructure that support sustainable "blue growth."
At least 30 foreign delegations, including representatives from Belgium, Bahrain, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Pakistan, Sweden, the United States, Algeria, Slovenia, and more, have already confirmed their attendance at SEAFUTURE 2023.
The participation of these foreign delegations is a key aspect of the event, providing opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to engage with big players in the international defense market and explore potential partnerships for aggregation and internationalization.
