Turkish Navy officially receives Anadolu class LHD TCG Anadolu from SSB.
According to information published by Ozgur Kocaeli on March 6, 2023, the Turkish Naval Forces have officially received the amphibious assault ship Anadolu from the SSB.

The ship was designed by Navantia, a Spanish shipbuilder, and the design will be based on the Spanish ship Juan Carlos I. The Sedef-Navantia consortium won the tender for the project, and Navantia will provide design, technology transfer, equipment, and technical assistance to the Sedef Shipyard in Turkey.
The Anadolu is intended to meet various needs and requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces, including long-endurance, long-distance military combat, humanitarian relief operations, acting as a command center, and serving as a flagship for the Turkish Navy.
The Anadolu-class TCG Anadolu has a displacement of 27,079 tons in "amphibious assault ship" configuration and 24,660 tons in "V/STOL aircraft carrier" configuration.
The ship is 232 meters (761 feet 2 inches) in length, 32 meters (105 feet) in beam, and has a draught of 6.9 meters (22 feet 8 inches). Propulsion is provided by 5 Navantia Man Diesel Generators with a capacity of 8,000 kW (11,000 hp) each, 2 Siemens SiPOD systems with a capacity of 11 MW (15,000 hp) each, and 2 bow thrusters with a capacity of 1,500 kW (2,000 hp) each.
The ship can reach a speed of 21 knots (39 km/h; 24 mph) and has a range of 9,000 nautical miles (17,000 km; 10,000 mi) at 16 knots (30 km/h; 18 mph). The ship can accommodate 4 LCM or 2 LCAC, and has a complement of personnel.
The ship's sensors and processing systems include a SMART-S Mk.2 S-band 3D radar, SPN-720 Naval Precision Approach Radar, GENESIS-ADVENT Combat Management System, IRST, IFF, TDL, VMF, SATCOM, LWR, DDS, and Torpedo Defense System. The ship is armed with 1 RAM, 2 Phalanx CIWS, and 5 25 mm Aselsan STOP RCWS.
