WDS 2024: Navy 45 WP patrol vessel by Estonian firm Baltic Workboats.
At the World Defense Show 2024, Baltic Workboats introduced the Navy 45 WP patrol vessel, constructed from aluminum and designed for a range of applications including military operations, patrols, and enhancing maritime safety. The vessel is classified by Lloyd's Register SSC, indicating it meets specific maritime standards.

The dimensions of the 45 WP include a length overall of 44.6 meters, a beam overall of 8.8 meters, and a maximum draught of 2.6 meters. It has a capacity to house a crew of 10, along with additional space for 18 personnel.
In terms of performance, the vessel reaches speeds of 27 to 30 knots, with a reduced speed of 10 knots achievable in electrical mode. Its range is notable, with the capability to travel 3000 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots, and a reduced range of 25 nautical miles at 5 knots in electrical mode.
The propulsion system features two MTU 16V4000 main engines and two ZF9300 gearboxes, providing a total power of 2 x 2000 / 2560 kW. It incorporates a hybrid propulsion system by Danfoss and propulsion batteries from EST-Floattech, alongside Sleipner bow and aft thrusters and Naiad active roll stabilizing fins for improved maneuverability and stability.
Electrical needs are met by two generators from Volvo Penta. The vessel's storage capacities include 30,000 liters for fuel, 2,000 liters for fresh water, and adequate storage for waste and bilge water.
The deck is equipped with an SHHP anchor and winch, a HS Marine AK 55 E4 deck crane, and a compartment for a RHIB daughter boat. Accommodations on the main deck feature living and operational spaces including a mess, galley, and medical room, with additional living spaces below deck.
Currently utilized by the Estonian Navy, the Navy 45 WP patrol vessel was presented at the World Defense Show 2024 by Baltic Workboats as a solution for a variety of maritime security and operational needs.
