The Murmansk-BN is an electronic warfare system that is able to perform radio reconnaissance, interception of enemy signals, and their suppression throughout the shortwave range at ranges up to 5,000 km. EW "Murmansk-BN" is capable of "stunning" the territories of the EU countries closest to the Russian borders, disrupting military communications and leaving civilians without mobile communications.

The Krasukha-4 is intended to neutralize Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) spy satellites, ground-based radars, and airborne radars (AWACS) at ranges between 150 to 300 kilometers. In the conflict in Ukraine, the Krasukha-4 is used by the Russian armed forces to counter enemy aircraft, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Systems) and missiles, by influencing and disabling radar stations of aircraft at a range of up to 300 kilometers.

The Russian Electronic Warfare (EW) units have developed several new guidelines. Electronic warfare systems are used to increase the contribution to supremacy in conflicts. Russia plans to create a space-based EW segment. Electronic warfare can bring to nil the technological advantages of the adversary by disrupting the control of forces and weapons on the ground, at sea, in the air, and in space.

Russia plans to use its space satellites and create a space-based EW segment. At present, long-term priorities in EW development have been determined.

The main guidelines comprise the space-based EW segment, the creation of reconnaissance-fire EW forces with the use of MLRS and drones, the design of EW destruction means by powerful electromagnetic emission, the formation of single information and communication space of EW forces, and its integration into a single information space of the Russian armed forces.
