Description
The Legion is a 4x4 armoured vehicle in the category of MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) designed and manufactured by the Company Isotrex Manufacturing based in the United Arab Emirates. was founded in 2005 by a dedicated armored vehicle manufacturing group of experts from Canada with over a decade of experience in the industry. The Legion 4x4 MRAP was unveiled during the International Defense Exhibition IDEX in February 2017. This is the first vehicle in its category which is fully developed on a heavy duty fully certified military chassis. The Legion is especially designed to be used on rough terrain under difficult climatic and environment conditions. Thanks to its large internal volume its offers maximum comfort the crew and the troops. The Legion provides maximum protection against ballistic an mine threats of the modern battlefield.
 
Variants:
The Legion can be configured to perform a full range of missions as ambulance, personnel carrier, cargo, reconnaissance or Special Forces vehicle.

Armament
The Isotrex Legion MRAP can be fitted with a full range of weapon station including a one-man open-top turret designed by Isotrex offering a protection Level 2 STANAG 4569, firing of small arms 7.62×39mm API (Armor Piercing Incendiary) ammunition at 30 meters with 695 m/s.
Design and protection
The layout of the Isotrex Legion MRAP is standard with the engine at the front, the crew in the middle and the troops compartment at the rear. The vehicle has an overall length of 6.58 m and width of 2.56 m. It has a gross weight of 19,000 kg with a maximum payload of 4,500 kg. There is a large windscreen at the front of the crew compartment and one single door on each side of the hull. On each side of the hull, there is three small bullet proof windows. The Legion MRAP can carried a total of 11 military personnel including driver, gunner and commander. Eight troops are seated on individual anti-mine blast seats with four point seatbelts, four along each side of the hull facing each other. The design of the seat gives the occupant not only excellent protection in a mine blast event, but also offers excellent protection in the event of an accident or impact. The troops can enter and leave the vehicle via a power-operated ramp located at the rear of the hull that opens downwards. The Legion MRAP offers protection against firing of small arms and shell splinters. The vehicle is also fitted with a blast mitigation floor to absorb some of the energy from an explosion and to help deflect the impact on the feet and help save the legs from injury.
Mobility
The Isotrex Legion MRAP is based on a 4x4 heavy duty fully certified military chassis with a backbone tube frame which protects driveline shafts from transfer case to the wheels and differentials that are place inside offering protection against dust, moisture and outer mechanical damages. The vehicle is motorized with a Cummins ISLe 375 Euro 3 water-cooled, turbo-charged engine developing 370 hp. at 2,100 rpm coupled to an Allison 3200 automatic transmission with 5 forward and 1 reverse gears. The Legion can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 850 km.
Accessories
Standard equipment of the Isotrex Legion MRAP includes Central tyre inflation system operated by the driver from the dashboard and run flat system. In option, it can be fitted with a full range of equipment as NBC protection system, rear towing hitch, self-recovery winch, automatic fire extinguishing system, gun ports, GPS, FLIR cameras, communication system, jamming system and more.
