Armament |
The MaxxPro XL can be fitted with armored glass turret, armed with a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun.The MaxxPro Dash is also ready to be equipped with a remote controlled weapon station armed with weapons up to 12.7mm calibre or an 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
|
Protection |
The MaxxPro XL utilizes a crew capsule with a V-shaped hull, mounted on an International WorkStar 7000 chassis. The V-hull deflects the blast of a land mine or improvised explosive device (IED) away from the vehicle to protect its occupants. Because the chassis is mounted outside the armored crew capsule, there are concerns that it will likely be destroyed in the event of an ambush, leaving the soldiers inside stranded. One of the visual differences between the basic version of Maxxpro and the XL version, it is that XL version is equipped with three small armour windows to each side of the hull, basic version only two.
|
Propulsion |
The International Maxxpro XL is powered by the MaxxForce D family engine model D9.3I6 , Turbo inter-cooled, direct electronic injection and four stroke. MaxxForce six-cylinder direct injection turbocharged diesel MaxxForce D/D9.3I6 is coupled to a fully automatic power shift gearbox Allison 3000 with a total of five speeds forward and one in reverse. The MaxxPro XL uses a longer 4 x 4 chassis with single-rear wheels.
|
Accessories |
The International MaxxPro XL is equipped with a survival kit for nuclear, biological and chemical environments. A winch is mounted to the front of the vehicle. The International MaxxPro can ford to a maximum depth of 0,91 m without preparation.
