The Sherpa XL is a member of the Sherpa family 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier (APC) developed and manufactured by the French Company ARQUUS, previously named Renault Trucks Defense. Compared with the Sherpa Light APC, it is an extended chassis version with four lateral doors. The internal volume is bigger than the Sherpa light offering the possibility to carried 10 military or police personnel. The Sherpa XL APC was unveiled by Renault Trucks Defense in November 2013 during the Homeland Security Exhibition Milipol in Paris, France. The Sherpa XL APC can be used for a full range of law enforcement missions such as counter-terrorism, C2, or assault tasks. It can accommodate up to 8 police officers with equipment, in addition to the crew. The Sherpa XL APC can be easily transported by military transport aircraft as C-130 or A-400M.

-Sherpa light APC: The Sherpa Light and the Sherpa are 4x4 vehicles all terrains mainly dedicated to projection, intervention and logistic units. It has a weight from 10.2 to 10.9 tons.
- Sherpa Light Station Wagon: a Sherpa light version specially adapted to carried weapon station mounted on the roof of the hull. - Sherpa Light Scout: a Sherpa light version short chassis with two doors on each side and one cargo area at the rear. - Sherpa Light SF Special Forces: This version was especially designed to offer high-mobility and firepower for Special Forces Units. This vehicle is ideally suited for long-range, off-road patrols. - Sherpa Weapon System Carrier: the rear part is adapted to carry heavy weapon stations as anti-tank guided missile system. - Sherpa Light Carrier: Sherpa Light with one crew cabin for two people at the front of the vehicle and a cargo area at the rear. |
