Design |
The SH-1 / Sky Hawk 1 is flying wing design, with a piston engine driving two-blade pusher propeller at the tail end.
|
Mobility |
The SH-1 / Sky Hawk 1 is only 2 meters in length, is launched by ejection or rocket, and can be retrieved by parachute or net-capture. It can flight at a maximum speed from 90 to 150 km/r with a maximum operation range of 180 km.

Payloads equipment |
The SH-1 / Sky Hawk 1 provides 30 kg in payload capacity. Standard configuration consist of large coverage matrix CCD digital photography system with: Atmospheric visibility: > 10km, imaging distance > 6km; Flight altitude: 3000m; For general investigation, recognizable target: 3.3x8.1m, width of imaging strip: 2.38km; For detailed investigation, recognizable target: 2.3m X 2.9m, width of imaging strip 1.19km - Option 2 with CCD digital scanning photogrammetry system: Atmospheric visibility>10km, imaging distanced>6km; Flight altitude: 3000m; Recognizable target: 5.0x 12.2m, width of imaging strip: 3.25km - Option 3 with light-weight & small sized multi-spectrum CCD digital camera system: Full coverage over 0.4um~0.7um, 3 wave bands, 20nm band width; Atmospheric visibility >10km, imaging distance >2km; Flight altitude 2,000m, recognizable target 8.0m x 32.0 m, width of imaging strip 1,5km. |
Combat use |
One SH-1 UAV combat unit consists of a UAV with reconnaissance equipment, ground support system including ground control station, launch vehicle and support vehicle and depot support equipment. The ground control station can be used to control two SH-1 UAVs simultaneously, providing measurement and control, mission planning, communication, power supply and image processing functions. The support vehicle can transport three SH-1 UAVs and related spare accessories. It can also be used as UAV hoister. The SH-1 UAV system is mainly used for tactical aerial reconnaissance and battlefield surveillance through photogrammetry. The images taken on targets are transmitted to ground in real time via data link system and then processed at ground to output relevant information of the target area. The system can also be widely used for communications or/and data relay, electronic and information warfare, combat safety analysis report, battle management, disaster investigation, environment monitoring, geological prospecting, mine detection, digital mapping, etc. depending on the different payload. The missions can last four to six hours depending on the payload (average 30 kilograms).
