ADEX 2017: New K-X UCAV concept appears
Some X-47B style stealth unmanned combat aerial vehicles appeared at this 11th edition of ADEX Aerospace and Defense Exhibition, being held until Oct. 22 in Seoul, South Korea. KAI's new UCAV features a jet-powered blended-wing-body design rather similar to the X-47B demonstrator, being developped by Northrop Grumman for the US Navy.

The K-X concept features increased caracteristics compared to the company's K-UCAV platform. The 7.62m-long UCAV has a 10.5m wingspan, a maximum speed of Mach 0.8, a service ceiling of 12,000 m (40,000ft). KAI didn't detailed the UCAV potential endurance. Range is cited as 361km, with maximum take-off weight being 3,910kg.

KAI's new UCAV demonstrator made its first public appearance in Jan. 2016 at the kick-off meeting of KF-X aircraft development project, at the KAI Aircraft Development Center in Sachon.

KAI launched studies into UCAV demonstrators in 2008 with the K-UCAV.
