"We have prepared equipment to mount it on cruise missiles of various versions. The talk is about cruise missiles with a warhead of any type but all of them will be equipped with a defensive aids suite," Mikheyev said.
According to him, the system has already passed all trials. The system includes interconnected devices designed to detect and classify incoming threats and then destroy them. Today, the Russian Armed Forces operate air-launched cruise missiles of the Kh-55 (NATO reporting name: AS-15 Kent) family, including the Kh-555 conventional-warhead and the advanced Kh-101 and Kh-102 cruise missiles. Russian Navy ships and submarines can launch 3M-14 (SS-N-30) sea-based cruise missiles of the Kalibr system. |
