Explosia a.s. is a large manufacturer of industrial explosives, smokeless powders, rocket motors of rescue systems and explosives for military applications. Explosia's products used by the military or, more precisely, by armed and special forces, include plastic explosives, special demolition charges, smokeless powders for small, medium and large calibres.

Explosia also produces blocks of explosives used in reactive protection systems (ERA) for armoured vehicles. Perhaps the best known product of the company is the Semtex explosive. The formerly notorious name is a trademark now and is used by all brisant plastic explosives produced by Explosia - there are now more than 20 of them in the company's portfolio, which are employed for a variety of purposes. At IDET 2015, Explosia highlights its 155mm BMCS - Bi-Modular Charge System for 155mm Gun-Howitzers. 155mm BMCS is a modern solution of propelling charges for current 155mm artillery systems with barrel length of 39, 45 and 52 calibers and with the volume of chamber 12, 23 and 25 liters. 155mm BMCS is fully competitive with foreign products and was tested in many 155mm gun-howitzers (ZUZANA, KRAB, BOFORS, SOLTAM). 155mm BMCS combined with a shell with the base-bleed generator is capable to achieve a range over 42km (52 calibers long barrel).
