Insitu to deliver 65 ScanEagle unmanned aerial vehicles to Afghanistan | |||
The US-based company Insitu, par of Boeing, has been awarded a $70,941,310 order for the procurement of eight ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems for the government of Afghanistan under the Foreign Military Sales program.

Work will be performed in Bingen, Washington; and undisclosed sites throughout Afghanistan , and is expected to be completed in June 2018, the US Department of Defense announced Wednesday Nov. 25, 2015. These systems consist of 65 ScanEagle Air Vehicles, spares, support equipment, field service support, establishment of an in theatre ScanEagle training facility and training.
The US Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity. |
