According the website ukraineindustrial.info, the Ukrainian National Guard has taken delivery of five KRAZ Shrek mine resistant ambush protected vehicle. The Shrek is 4x4 armoured vehicle jointly developed by the Ukrainian Company AutoKRaZ and Streit Group from United Arab Emirates.

The Shrek is a multirole off road Mine Protected Vehicle with V-hull mounted on the KrAZ 5233 4x4 chassis cab. The KrAZ-5233 4×4 chassis cab provides a reliable and strong platform for this armored vehicle. The mine clearance version of the Shrek can be used for investigation in dangerous areas, detection and clearance of explosive devices. The hull of the Shrek provides a protection B6+/STANAG 4569 level 2, ballistic protection against 7.62 x 39 API BZ at 30 meters with 695 m/s and 6 kg (explosive mass) blastoff lan mine explosion. The KrAZ-MPV Shrek One vehicle can be converted into troop carrier, ambulance and mine clearance vehicle for investigation in dangerous areas (RCV). The Shrek was unveiled for the first by Streit Group during the defense exhibition in Paris (France, Eurosatory 2014. First batch of 10 armored vehicles KrAZ Shrek One (Ukraine) were delivered to Senegal. In April 2014, 10 special KrAZ armored vehicles were delivered to Dakar (Senegal) from Jabel Ali port (UAE) by “Dealex” company. More than 12,000 Streit Group armoured vehicles have been deployed by civilian and military customers in some of the world’s most hostile environments. |
