As close allies in NATO, Poland and Norway share many common security interests. Poland and Norway contributes both with significant strength to allied operations and in recent years the defense industry cooperation has increased in several key areas.
Poland and Norway enjoy prosperous and fruitful armaments and defence industrial cooperation. The defence industries in both nations are looking for more arenas in which they can cooperate for mutual benefit. Both sides' defence industries have prospered from their past and ongoing business relationships. Thanks to MSPO 2015, Polish and Norwegian will increase the defence industrial cooperation and focus on areas in which the two countries' defence industries can work more closely together in the years to come. Knowledge of those areas will provide Polish and Norwegian companies with a point of departure from which future business opportunities can spring. The armed forces of both nations will benefit from having the best minds in the Polish and Norwegian defence industrial bases focused on the transition of technology and knowledge into new systems that will increase the near- and long-term effectiveness of their armed forces. During MSPO 2015, a seminar brought together government officials who are directly engaged in the identification of new areas for collaboration and the companies capable of executing those identified business and cooperative opportunities. Moreover, the seminar also promoted serious conversation among the industry participants, identify areas for cooperation and a basis for developing stronger ties between the Polish and Norwegian armed forces and defence Industries. |
