Polaris® Industries Inc., a leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles, yesterday August 5 announced one of the first vehicles resulting from Polaris’ acquisition from Brammo Inc., the RANGER EV Li-Ion Polaris Pursuit® Camo. A first in the off-road industry, the RANGER EV Li-Ion Polaris Pursuit Camo offers more than three times the total battery lifespan of traditional acid batteries and more than twice the range on one charge (up to 50 miles*) to ensure the vehicle spends more time in use.

Due to having fewer, lighter weight Lithium-Ion Batteries, the vehicle is 462 lbs./210 kg lighter and accelerates faster than Polaris’ lead-acid battery option. To complement the Lithium-Ion battery technology, the pure electric RANGER EV Li-Ion Polaris Pursuit Camo features a refined electrical architecture and a single 48-volt, high-efficiency, AC-induction motor. The driver can select from three modes of operation: High for everyday use, Low for hard work and Max Range for greatest distance.
The new system also features a Battery Management Controller which continuously monitors battery usage for a more accurate representation of battery life. A Vehicle Control Module (VCM) allows for a new digital gauge with speedometer and improved accessory integration. Accessories such as the Electronic Power Steering kit and Polaris Interactive Digital Display are now easier to install. The vehicle also is equipped with on-vehicle diagnostics for easier servicing. Along with offering the latest in battery technology, the RANGER EV Li-Ion Polaris Pursuit Camo offers hardest working features such as 10 gal./37.8 L of in-cab storage, 1500 lbs./680 kg of towing capacity, a 500 lb./22.7 kg gas-assist rear dump box and a 1000 lb./453.6 kg total payload to carry what you need and haul heavy loads. The vehicle also is equipped with Polaris’ exclusive On-Demand True All-Wheel Drive to provide the traction needed to get the job done. When selected, the one-wheel drive VersaTrac Turf Mode plus high-pressure, 20 psi, 25 in/63.5 cm Carlisle turf-friendly tires ensure a lighter footprint on lawns and other terrain. |
