This first day at DEFENSE & SECURITY exhibition started with an opening ceremony presided by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Gen Prawit Wongsuwon. He said that he will modernise and transform armed forces under a new ten-year programme to face current and future threats.

DEFENSE & SECURITY is a biennial event and has now been running for ten successful years. The show represents all three military areas – Land, Sea and Air, plus a world-class Security Section.
