The new UAE NIMR N35 4x4 mine protected vehicle is now combat proven used in Yemen conflict.
According a video report from Emirates News Agency published on Youtube, February 7, 2017, United Arab Emirates armed forces have deployed its new NIMR Automotive N35 4x4 armoured vehicle for military operations in Yemen. The N35 was filmed near the port city of Mokha on the Red Sea coast of Yemen.

According a news from Middle-East newspaper, February 7, 2017, the port city of al-Mokha on the Red Sea coast of Yemen has been secured by Yemeni government forces backed by Gulf Arab troops. The UAE forces of the Saudi-led Arab alliance had a massive role in freeing al-Mokha. It provided ground forces with armoured vehicles and intelligence.
 
Recently, UAE armed forces have taken delivery of the new N35 multipurpose mine protected vehicle manufactured by the UAE defense Company NIMR Automotive. It is a very nice success for the Company NIMR to show that the N35 is now combat proven. It also proves the quality of this new armoured that could be interested other countries in the region. 


The N35 is based on the RG35 designed and developed in South Africa. In November 2015, Denel Vehicle Systems has signed a contract with NIMR Automotive in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to provide the development and supply of advanced mine-protected vehiclesN35 (previously RG35) armoured vehicles.

The N35 is composed of ballistic steel and it has a v-shaped mine protected hull. The N35 provides a ballistic protection up to STANAG 4569 Level 4 (14.5×114mm AP / B32 at 200 meters with 911 m/s) and mine protection STANAG 4569 up to Level 4A/4B (10 kg of mine blast explosion under the wheels 4a and floor 4b).

The roof of the N35 4x4 mine protected infantry armoured vehicle can be fitted with a full range of one/two-man light and medium turrets armed with weapons up to 20mm caliber.
